Summary
This position entails editing content and managing a network of bloggers and freelance writers as well as using our content management system to publish articles to our ModernMom.com website. In addition, this person will write hot topics and help create an editorial calendar, craft an editorial vision and promote content on our social platforms (Twitter, Facebook, etc.)
The ideal candidate will possess an excellent command of the written English language as well as have the ability to work independently without being micro-managed. The Content Producer needs to be creative to generate content ideas, produce quality articles relatively quickly, be extremely organized and have the ability to juggle many tasks. Brooke Burke (host of Dancing with the Stars) is our CEO. :)
Responsibilities
• Promote content to social platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.)
• Writing articles, Hot Topics and Mommywoods
• Editing and publishing articles and choosing images
• Organizing and Scheduling content
• Phone interviews with newsworthy women (moms)
• Develop an editorial calendar
Requirements/Experience
• Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent experience
• Excellent command of the written English language
• Learns quickly and works independently
• Creative -- can develop article/content ideas
• Enjoys working with a start-up mentality - small but growing company
• Ability to multitask
• Strong work ethic
Location: Santa Monica
Compensation: $15-$18 an hour - salaried position
