Attention Women Writers! BE Entertainment & Productions with its owner, Bianca Emery, along with Ms. New Orleans Plus America & Columnist, Trella Woodfork, is conducting a Women’s Writing Contest. The theme is “The Dynamics of a Woman”.
Contest Begins Monday, July 18, 2011 and Ends Thursday, September 15, 2011. Winners will be announced and notified via email by Monday, October 10, 2011.
Criteria:
We are looking for Short Stories & Poems about women displaying one or more of the following: Inspiration, Strength, Confidence, and Determination. Entries are judged based on the context, originality, creative imagination, characterization, and artistic quality.
Entry Fee: $10/Short Stories & $5/Poems. Entry fees are non-refundable. Payments will be made via PayPal.
Prizes: Short Stories $250 & Poems $150. Prizes will be awarded no later than October 25, 2011 in the form of a Cashier’s Check.
Percentage of the proceeds will go to The Reading Partners Program, which focuses on children from low-income communities who are struggling with reading.
