MAWSA 2011 Undergraduate/ Gratude Student Essay Contest on Women's Studies

The Mid-Atlantic Region Women's Studies Association (MAWSA) is pleased to announce the tenth annual Student Prize for Scholarly Excellence in Women's Studies.

Two awards, underwritten by the Mid-Atlantic Region Women's Studies Association,
are given annually to one undergraduate and one graduate student who submit the best previously unpublished essays on any aspect of women's studies scholarship. All students are welcome to submit. The contest is sponsored this year by Montgomery College. Writers of the winning essays will each receive a $50 cash award and be recognized at the 2011 MAWSA Conference at The College of New Jersey, April 8th and 9th, 2011.

Guidelines:

The submissions should be no longer than 25 pages (including bibliography) and must be written in English. The papers may be sent as electronic files/ attachments to e-mail address below; please be sure to include all contact information, including phone number. Also, please identify if your submission is an undergraduate or graduate essay. The deadline for submissions is January 15, 2011.
