ABOUT WETPAINT
Television shows are like family. When they’re good, they enrich our lives, and when they’re bad – well, even when TV shows are bad, they’re wildly entertaining. For true fans, however, watching a show is simply not enough. We want every piece of information available about our favorite programs and the characters that populate them. Googling is not enough. IMDBing is not enough. We want to eat and breathe “our” shows. Enter Wetpaint.
Wetpaint is a new kind of Web network, built around the TV viewing interests of women 18-34. Each Wetpaint site focuses on a single show in a super-detailed way – for examples, see wetpaint.com/glee or wetpaint.com/gossip-girl. No steamy love scene or high fashion statement or over-the-top catfight escapes our inquiring minds. The information is so in-depth, it will improve the way you watch your favorite programs. We bring you the news, the gossip, the recaps, the photos, the video clips, the previews, the spoilers, and the featured products in a way you have never experienced on other fan sites. In fact, once you’ve delved into Wetpaint, you won’t need those other sites. If the shows in the Wetpaint network are “your” shows, this is your new online home.
Wetpaint, which has offices in Seattle and New York, is funded by the same venture capital firms that backed companies like Facebook, Starbucks, and Glam. It is serious about creating one-stop shopping for the female viewer who is crazy for TV.
