Country Woman Reader Submission Guidelines

1. You may e-mail or mail your materials. If you would like mailed materials returned and/or a response, please enclose a stamped, self-addressed envelope.
2. On the first page of your letter, print your name, address and daytime telephone number and e-mail address, if you have one. If you’re submitting for a particular column or feature, please note that as well.
3. If the material you are submitting has been published previously, we ask that you please let us know.
4. We accept color prints, slides or high-resolution digital photos. Digital images should be about 4x6 inches at a minimum resolution of 300 dots per inch (dpi) and sent as JPEGs on a CD or via e-mail. We cannot use photos that are printed on an ink-jet printer.
5. After you share a story and/or photos, please be patient. We receive a lot of mail, and it takes our small staff a while to catch up. We may hold your material for consideration in a future issue without informing you first, but we will let you know if we publish it.
6. If we publish your material, we will send you a complimentary copy of the issue and any payment mentioned in the original solicitation upon publication, or at our normal contributor’s rates.
7. By submitting material for publication, you grant Reiman Media Group, LLC, its parent company, subsidiaries, affiliates, partners and licensees use of the material, including your name, hometown and state or province. We reserve the right to modify, reproduce and distribute the material in any medium and in any manner or appropriate place. We may contact you via phone, e-mail or ground mail regarding your submission.
8. E-mail us at editors@countrywomanmagazine.com or send material to Country Woman, 5400 S. 60th St., Greendale WI 53129.

Ink-jet prints cannot be used for publication in CW. Please send us your color photos that have been processed and printed at a drugstore or discount store.

Craft Designer’s Guidelines

1. If you would like to get an indication of our initial interest, you can send or E-mail a photo of your project to editors@countrywomanmagazine.com. If we express interest in your project, you will need to send your materials (project sample and instructions) by regular mail.

Please note that asking you to submit your project does not mean we are purchasing or accepting the project—we simply want to review it for further consideration.

If you would like your project returned, please enclose a check (payable in U.S. funds) for the correct return postage. If we publish your project, we will return your sample to you at our expense after the project has been published. While we will make every effort to pack projects carefully, we cannot be responsible for lost or damaged items.

2. On the first page of your letter, print your name, address and daytime telephone number and E-mail address.
3. If the material you are submitting has been published previously, you must let us know.
4. Your project and/or design must be original. You must have created your craft from scratch, not copied the idea from another crafter, from a published pattern or from one you’ve seen at a craft fair.
5. We will pay you for the project idea and instructions upon acceptance. Payment will generally range from $50.00 to $150.00, depending on the project.
6. Upon payment for the project, you grant Reiman Media Group, LLC, its parent company, subsidiaries, affiliates, partners and licensees exclusive use of the project and instructions and all other rights to them. This means you cannot resell this design to another publisher. We reserve the right to modify, reproduce and distribute the project in any medium and in any manner or appropriate place. We may contact you via phone, E-mail or regular mail regarding your submission.
7. If we publish your project in Country Woman, we will send you a complimentary copy of the issue in which it is featured.
8. Send your materials to Country Woman, 5925 Country Lane, Greendale WI 53129.
