Paid US-Based Female Trainee Blogger Needed (Angela Neal Media)

Post date: 05 July 2011
Deadline: 14 July 2011

We are expanding our team to meet demands, and are looking for a blogger to take on some monthly work for our network of blogs.

Angela Neal Media runs several non-client blogs in order to test new SEO techniques, experiments and blog software. We are currently looking for a freelance blogger to help us meet the content demands of this growing network.

In general, this is an entry level position. We already employ freelance writers for most of our work, but need to start someone with a goal to training them for future work. It is ideal for students, or bloggers looking to build their portfolio or gain more exposure for their own, related blog or site. If you currently run a wedding, fashion or beauty blog feel free to apply!

That said, this is NOT one of those “I pay you peanuts and expect the world” writing jobs so often advertised on writing job boards! We have a minimum pay rate in place, and have a budget committed to these blogs for growth.

The blogs in question are primarily:

Weddings In Europe http://www.weddingsineurope.co.uk

A blog about (you guessed it) weddings in Europe. We cover a wide range of topics from venue reviews, interesting articles, news topics, celebrity weddings and interviews with wedding providers.

Wedding Fashion Files http://weddingfashionfiles.com

Again, not hard to guess the topic of this blog! We need a blogger to regularly review new designer collections, publish press releases from PR companies and write advice articles.

Best Free Beauty Samples UK http://www.bestfreebeautysamples.co.uk/

Due to a successful SEO and Social Media campaign, this blog has become massively successful in a short space of time and is partly responsible for our need to add to our staff. We need content written on general beauty advice, homemade beauty remedies and product reviews. Although primarily a UK blog, we need a US based writer to cover products and accept free samples not yet available in the UK.

An added perk of these blogs is that we are often sent free samples from companies wanting us to review their products.

If these topics sound interesting to you, please read the following requirements to further see if you would be a good fit.

Our Ideal Blogger

* Based in the US. This is a must for several reasons. My apologies to qualified writers elsewhere.
* Female. Just to be clear, I’m not sexist: guys, you are welcome to apply if you regularly check out wedding blogs and use cosmetics, but I doubt there are many cross-dressing bloggers out there? Feel free to prove me wrong!
* Genuinely interested in the above blog topics.
* Familiar with WordPress. Again, this is a must.
* Has a basic understanding of SEO as it relates to content writing. (We will provide valuable training in this area, but a basic foundation is needed.)
* Has written for blogs before. These posts are short (under 250 words usually). If you like to spend a lot of time researching and editing your work then the pay scale probably won’t cover you spending hours on each post. If are used to putting together a short blog post in 30 – 60 minutes you will do well with us!
* Able to write in a friendly conversational tone.
* Able to work independantly and use initiative.

About Working for Us:

* We offer a relaxed, friendly working relationship and tend to allow our writers to pick their own topics, although we have a HUGE backlog of post titles to be addressed.
* Flexible deadlines. We have a minimum monthly quota of articles that needs to be met, but you can provide the content monthly or weekly. If we do have a strict deadline that needs to be met we will check that you are able to fit the work into your schedule before committing.
* Plenty of resources. We have list of links and contacts that will help you quickly find info.
* We offer team members training on a vast area of online marketing for free, including free access to our upcoming online training school.
* We give all writers full credit on our own blogs. You can have a profile page on each blog, links to our own sites and be listed here on http://www.angelaneal.com
* We pay monthly by Paypal between the 1st and 10th of each month.
* We expect work to increase as we get these blogs back on track… they have been sorely neglected due to our client work commitments. Each of these blogs has had PR3 and over 3,000 visitors a day at some point and I look forward to getting them back to this level and beyond!

Interested?

To apply, please email me at sparklyscotty (at) gmail.com with the following details:

* Name
* State you live in
* Blogging history
* Any sites or blogs you own or regularly contribute to
* Your Twitter or Facebook profile/page links
* Your interest in beauty and weddings (we may take on two bloggers to deal with the topics separately if needed)
* A sample post for any of the blogs. We will NOT use as unpaid content. The sample is purely to get an idea of your writing style and ability to choose suitable topics as this has been a problem in the past.

**Closing date July 14th 2011**

Please allow up to 14 days for a reply while we sift through applications and research the information we are sent. We will contact ALL applicants to let you know if you have been successful or not. Please accept my thanks in advance for taking the time to apply.
