United Retail Incorporated is a leading plus size women's specialty retailer operating Avenue stores. Currently we have 450 stores in 37 states across the US. We are dedicated to our customers and inspired by our associates.

Site Copywriter

In this exciting role, you will write product and creative copy for Avenue.com and other retail projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Research and write product copy for online assortment focusing on Search Engine Marketing (SEM) language to enhance product visibility online.
· Write and coordinate all creative copy for biweekly marketing assets, such as, homepage, category landing pages, trend reports and special features.
· Write all creative copy for online marketing including online catalog; oversee the creative text and ads
· Manage Product Reviews (consumer comments to be posted to the website) by posting acceptable reviews, responding to claims and notifying merchants of any issues.
· Update and maintain fashion glossary

REQUIREMENTS

· Bachelor's degree in English, Marketing or Communications or equivalent experience in fashion apparel, catalog or advertising writing.
· Minimum 3 years experience in public relations, catalog, direct marketing or advertising within the apparel industry.
· Experience working in web communications including newsletters, blogs, and paid search copy.
· Prior experience in interactive (Web) company is required
· Solid proofreading and editing skills to ensure accuracy of all materials.
· Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
· Software expertise in Microsoft Word and Excel.
· Ability to learn new skills/programs as deemed necessary.
