All American Crafts, Inc., is seeking articles about quilters and quilted items to publish in its bimonthly magazine, The Quilter. This publication is an instructional magazine that features patterns in patchwork and appliqué techniques. The editors accept articles relating to quilting, detailed quilting projects, and profiles of outstanding quilting instructors and their techniques. Holiday items are always welcome.

No fiction or poetry is accepted. NO SIMULTANEOUS SUBMISSIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

It is recommended that you submit a query first. Manuscripts must be typewritten, double-spaced on one side of the paper and, if possible, submitted on 3.5" floppy disks or PC-formatted CDs saved in Microsoft Word (.DOC) or text (.TXT) format. Write simple, clear, and thorough directions, including a list of materials, finished sizes, seam allowances, assembly diagrams, appliqué patterns, etc. Be sure patterns are perfectly accurate, and marked clearly with cutting, sewing, and fabric grain directions.

Articles about quilts and quilt exhibits must be accompanied by professional quality digital images.

If you submit a query, attach a good photograph and description of your project. Include a SASE with sufficient postage for the return of your material. Submissions without a SASE will not be returned.
