Submission Call: Poets’ Love Letters Anthology (Tightrope Books, Canada)

Attention Poets! Tightrope Books is delighted to announce an new exciting anthology to be edited by Jeanette Lynes and David Eso. The book’s working title is Love Letters: from the Lives of Canadian Poets.

The editors are assembling the first anthology of love letters by Canadian poets, known and unknown. The editors are seeking communiqués by poets regarding relationships of romantic love. From courtship to heartache, from telegrams to emails, this collection will run the gamut.

HOW TO SUBMIT: (You must be a poet and a Canadian citizen or permanent Canadian resident)

Create a cover page for the editors with the following:
  • Name
  • Contact information
  • Birth date AND the Date of composition of the letter.
  • A brief bio (not exceeding 200 words).

Transcribe/transpose your letter(s) into an electronic document format (preferably Word) or scan the original letter and create a pdf. Remember, passionate emails are considered letters for our purposes! We will consider publishing your submission anonymously, if requested in the cover letter. The name of the recipient may also remain anonymous. In some cases, we will consider including replies, addressed to the poet.
