Paper Lantern Literary Production Company Seeks New Writers

Post date: 09 March 2012
Regardless, you're familiar with books that kids, teens, and women are Reading Now (do some research if you're not!) - and you think you've got what it takes to be the next big thing. You're ready to work hard, you're ready to collaborate, you're ready to write. Also, you're not currently under contract.

About Us: Young, dynamic, successful team of writers/editors with more than a decade of experience in commercial book publishing, seeking new talent for recently formed literary production company!

About You: Creative, excited, motivated writers with totally original voices and the ability to make us laugh on page one, weep on page two, and burst into Broadway show tunes on page three. Maybe you just graduated from Flashy Expensive Writing Program and have no idea what to do now. Maybe you just got fired from your Editorial Assistant job at Mean Evil McPublishing House. Maybe you're just awesomely talented and are looking for your Big Chance.

What We Do: Hire you to work with us on exciting new teen, middle grade, and adult projects that we create, plot, love, and nurture all the way from proposal stage to the bookshelf. Please find more information about us at www.paperlanternlit.com.

What Now? Interested? Inspired? Hungry? Homeless? Send your resume, a brief bio, and a sample of your best writing in response to this ad (fiction please). Please send your sample in the body of your email (NO ATTACHMENTS) to submissions@paperlanternlit.com. And please, limit your selection to 10 pages...we do have busy lives of our own. If we love you, we'll be in touch. If not, well, even J.K. Rowling had her fair share of rejections.
