Write About Women's Rights/ Fashion: Moot Magazine (paying magazine)

Post date: 19 February 2012
Moot Magazine is a national monthly magazine written to celebrate the misfits, outcasts, and iconoclasts of our day, from celebrities to everyday people. It's political and irreverent. nothing is off limits. Written by liberal minded writers, for Generation X and GenY individuals to espouse beliefs for a new more tolerant means of life and exercise free speech in a progressively censoring country. We feature offbeat articles, celebrity interviews, blogs, man on the street interviews, and much more.

We publish monthly as well as online weekly columns.

We are seeking a team that is a strong mix of veterans and fresh new talent. Moot Magazine will search for great writers not for their name or what they have done but for their beliefs, aspirations and pursuant to be creatively free.

We are seeking freelance contributors to write about Civil Rights, Politics, Business + Technology, Gay rights, Women's Rights, Religion, News, and the Arts, (fashion, design, architecture, theater, film, dance, and music) as well as special bloggers to be featured on our site.

Requirements for the WRITERS:

-experience writing for a publication (magazine, newspaper, etc.)
-the ability to submit articles by deadline
-high quality writing skills
-the ability to enlighten and/or inspire our readers

Compensation

We pay only upon publication. Compensation is dependent upon your skill level, pertinence to our magazine, and whether you are writing for a feature or weekly column.

If you are interested, please email with writing samples (links to websites or you may include a document attached) as well as a Cover Letter stating why you would like to write for Moot Magazine, how you feel you would fit into our voice, and exactly what type of column or articles you would like to write for including which department or departments you would be interested in writing for.
