Job Opening: Assistant Editor for Capital Style Magazine for Fashionable Women (Ohio)

Do you love shopping, fashion, decor and entertaining as much as we do? Would you like to share that passion with Columbus’ most active readers? Capital Style, the city’s top magazine for fashionable women, is looking for an Assistant Editor to join our team of creative journalists.

As the Assistant Editor, you will:

•Write magazine articles in a distinctive and engaging voice;
•Copy-edit and proofread articles with attention to detail;
•Spearhead wedding coverage for Capital Style Bride magazine;
•Organize complicated photo shoots with unflappable flair;
•Contribute to daily web coverage, including e-newsletters, blogs and social media pages;
•And thrive under deadline pressure in a high-energy, collaborative newsroom.

The ideal candidate will have well-developed journalistic skills, outstanding writing and editing abilities, broad knowledge of style and popular culture, and the ability to identify trends and topics relevant to the target audience. Must have a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three to five years of related experience at a magazine or newspaper.
