Call for Er0tic Stories/ Flash Fiction: ForTheGirls.com

Post date: 02 June 2011
ForTheGirls.com is currently seeking written contributions from skilled writers.

We are looking for high quality er0tic fiction to feature one to two times a month. Stories can cover any topic, however it must be er0tic in nature, relatively 3xplicit, s3x positive and be written expressly for female readers.

We're looking for stories that are more than just a s3x scene. We want stories with interesting scenarios and fascinating characters; stories that explore the issues and emotions surrounding s3x. Remember that dialogue and buildup can be just as er0tic as the actual s3x.

Stories should be a maximum of 2500 words in length.

We are looking for high quality super-short (flash) fiction to feature twice a month. Ideally we want succinct, er0tic pieces that successfully get an idea across in a small number of words. Cleverness is encouraged, as is out-and-out dirty h0tness. The piece should, of course, be aimed at a female audience.

Flash fiction stories should be a minimum of 300 and a maximum of 500 words in length.

For The Girls is introducing a new column: Bedhead Graffiti. This column will appear monthly and feature a different writer each month. We are looking for opinions, epistles, musings, rants and reasoned argument on the topic of s3x and relationships.

Articles may encompass diverse topics such as s3x, p0rn, er0tica, feminism, s3xuality, popular culture, memes, politics, reproduction, health, children, family, life and death. Personal anecdotes are welcome, research and fact-checking are encouraged. Humour is also encouraged but not required. The column needs to be witty, entertaining and well-written. It should be written 3xplicitly for a female audience. We encourage both established writers and newcomers to the field.

Columns should ideally be 1000 to 1500 words in length.

US$50 per Er0tic Fiction piece
US$20 per Flash Fiction piece
US$50 per Bedhead Graffiti piece

Payment will be made electronically, so you must have an appropriate account the best known online payment system (who I won't mention here due to their unusual methods of dealing with adult sites). If you cannot be paid this way, we cannot publish your work.

Email submissions to submissions AT forthegirls DOT com

We prefer .doc or .txt attachments with no html formatting, but will also accept submissions in the body of the email. Do not send rich text format (rtf) or Word 2007 (docx) documents. If we can't read your submission, it will go in the trash.

We accept stories with standard formatting however we prefer documents to be single spaced and without indents or tabs, each paragraph appearing as a separate block of text. This helps with our online formatting.

Subject heading should be "For The Girls Writing Submission." Writers should state the column to which they are submitting and must include the author declaration (see below) in the body of the submission email.

You will receive a confirmation email upon submission. You will be contacted by the editors if your story is selected for publication. Turnaround time is approximately 4 weeks and rejection emails will be sent. However If you haven't heard from us after that time, feel free to submit elsewhere.

Payment is made upon publication although we may from occasionally pay for a piece some time ahead of it appearing in FTG.

Please note: Your submission will be published within the members area of For The Girls and will only be accessible to paying members. Small excerpts, however, may appear on our blog (www.forthegirls.net/blog/) and in the RSS feed produced from this blog. No more than a paragraph will be used on the blog.

Submitted items must be in English, original and previously unpublished.

Submitted items should use correct spelling, punctuation and grammar. Poor quality or unedited work will not be considered. Writers who are unable to follow the guidelines will also not be considered.

Writers must be aged 18 years or over as at January 1, 2011.
