Planning an exhibition that will showcase images and stories exploring social irony in Nebraska.
These works can encourage people to exercise and develop their imagination, their sense of interconnectedness, and most importantly, their understanding of friends and neighbors that are struggling to get by. To enhance the public discourse with visual and literary commentary on social processes and mechanisms, we may begin to address local inadequacies that many Nebraskans face in realizing the American dream.
Celebrating the work of talented professional, amateur, and student artists, writers, photographers, poets, and songwriters from Nebraska, we welcome photographs (actual or staged), works of art in any medium, poems, fiction or memoir (word limit: 1500 words). All entries must be received by July 1, 2011
