Woman's Literary Union Scholarship 2011 (Maine)

In June of 2011 the Woman's Literary Union of Androscoggin County will award a $1,000.00 scholarship to a student graduating from a high school in Androscoggin County who plans to enter the field of Arts and Literature. The recipient will be selected on the basis of scholarship, citizenship, and financial need. The amount of the scholarship will be sent to the college bursar after the winner has successfully earned a 2.6 GPA (or better) for his/her first semester of college work.

Applications should be submitted to the Guidance Counselor for your school on or before April 9, 2011 in order that the Scholarship Committee of the Woman's Literary Union will receive them not later than April 11, 2011.

The following application materials must be received not later than April 9, 2011:

1. WLU Scholarship Application Form
2. An essay on "Why lam interested in the field of Arts and Literature"
3. Your high school transcript (4 year transcript)
4. Your Guidance Counselor's/or School Administrator's letter of recommendation
