We are cutting-edge social media health company creating real outreach in the community, the health & fitness community with the goal of linking our readers and users with fashion retailers for fabulous, fun programs and events.
The position will involve day-to-day or weekly social media tweets, blogs and other communicatons using Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Linkedin, blogs and forums, etc to build brand awareness, customers and loyalists for our products and programs. You will also work with our team to plan, initiate and execute social media messaging, content and marketing initiatives. Hours of work are flexible, approximately 10 hours of work per week to begin.
This is a perfect position for a recent college grad or 3rd/4th year college student. Although not required, a bachelor’s degree in e-communications, web development, mass communications, marketing, PR or health field, w/ relevant experience and love of social media a real plus. At minimum the ideal candidate will have personal facebook and twitter sites of their own with a minimum of 100 friends/followers on at least one or more social networks. Strong writing, content and blogging skills; with a preferable interest in sports, health, fitness and fashion. General business writing skills and excellent project management skills are also required. We are looking for a dynamic, fun, self-starter with a personal commitment to pushing the envelope. Please come to the table with ideas and enthusiam, we're looking for a creative thinker not JUST an order taker.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Strategize, plan, execute, interest social media threads, themes and online communications.
• Write posts for blogs tweets and other AFC social media sites
• Host online group and program discussions
• Write optimized press releases for online distribution

Abilities & Skills Requirements
• Demonstrated passion for social media, trends, technologies and developments
• Prior experience writing, building and executing social media content and campaigns
• Exemplary organization, communications and presentation skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast moving, entrepreneurial and collaborative working environment
• Ability to balance multiple concurrent projects and initiatives
• Experience working with and setting up Word Press blogs
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills, including excellent spelling, grammar and punctuation.
• Self-motivated, working well independently with a minimum of supervision.
• Good consultative and listening skills
• Working knowledge of HTML and/or writing code a PLUS but not mandatory
