Lakesha Woods Presents Enjoy Life Magazine's Poetry Contest

Poem Submission & Entry Fee

Enter Enjoy Life Magazine's annual Poetry Contest for a chance to win $200, publication in Enjoy Life Magazine's December issue - Vol 10 Issue 12. The author will also have an opportunity to read his or her poem at Enjoy Life Magazine's annual awards ceromony and end of the festivities.

1. The contest is open to poets who have not published a book of poems (self-published books do not count as published books). Poets can not have a book contract at the time of submission or be awarded a book contract within 3 months of the fall announment of winners.
2. Contestants can not be staff or freelance writers of Enjoy Life Magazine; nor be related to any employee or of Enjoy Life Magazine or any of its sister companies.
3. An entry fee of US $10.00 must accompany this submission.
4. All poems must be original and in English (Our staff can not translate).
5. No contestant may submit more than one entry. No corrections can be accepted after a poem has been submitted.
6. Entries must be RECEIVED by July 25, 2011, at 12:00 pm EST .
7. Winners will be contacted by telephone in October, no later than October 25, 2011; all contest entrants will be mailed the names of the winners and of the judges.

No phone queries can be taken, either to inquire about contest deadlines, the status of your entry, or to request the names of winners. However, contestants may call our voicemail to listen to a pre-recorded update and the names of winners at 641-715-3900 ext. 30213 (press #). The results will be available Oct 25, 2011 by 5:00 pm EST.

We have 3 catagories: Inspiration, Romance and General. Below in the options field, select the catagory that would best fit your poem. Then copy and paste your poem into the Special Instructions area (its just one line but your entire poem will fit!)
