The Forum of Women of the Mediterranean opened the international short story competition on the subject of “Loss”. The competition, which has been held annually since 1995, invites previously unpublished female authors from the Mediterranean region to submit their works.
The short stories need to be on the required subject of “Loss” and can be written in the authors' language of choice, including Croatia. The submitted works should be between 12,500 and 20,000 characters long (7-10 journalist cards).
The best works will be published in a special collection.
The Marseille-based Forum, established in 1993, is the French branch of the International Forum of Women of the Mediterranean, with headquarters in Turin, Italy. The competition is organized under the Euro-Mediterranean Project, financed by the Anna Lindh Foundation.
The deadline for application expires on May 31, 2011.

Règlement du Concours de Nouvelles 2010
Le Forum Femmes Méditerranée de Marseille organise un concours international de nouvelles sur le thème de "Perdre".
Règlement :
Il s’adresse aux femmes des pays du pourtour méditerranéen n’ayant jamais publié.
Une exception sera faite pour les personnes éditées à compte d’auteur.
Les textes doivent être en adéquation avec le thème et comporter un titre.
Un seul texte sera accepté par auteur.
Les textes devront être envoyés en quatre exemplaires numérotés de 10 pages maximum (12 500 signes).
Les nouvelles devront nous parvenir avant le 31 mai 2011
