Call for Teen Girl Writers: Teen Voices’ 20 Under 20 Short Story Competition

Post date: 24 January 2011
Deadline: 21 March 2011

Welcome to the 20 Under 20 Short Story Competition!

Bestselling author Anita Diamant will judge the rocking entries you're going to send us. Two winners will see their creations published online and in the Fall 2011 print edition of Teen Voices. We will also publish 18 additional runners-up on teenvoices.com during Spring and Summer 2011.

Need writing tips and inspiration? To get you started, journalist, author, and book critic Lucy Atkins will present a series of Write Now! story writing workshops, which we'll run right here on teenvoices.com. We’ll run one each week for six weeks, with the first one launching Thursday, January 20.

Already know what you want to write about? Go for it! No need to wait for the workshops.

Competition Details

The Judge: Anita Diamant is the bestselling author of four novels and several non-fiction works. Her novel The Red Tent was a New York Times bestseller and has sold in more than 25 countries worldwide. She is a highly respected author and is looking forward to being our 20 under 20 judge!

Your Deadline: March 21, 2011. We will not accept any entries received after March 21, 2011.
