WEAD seeks submissions of articles/essays for the Spring 2011 semiannual issue of our online WEAD MAGAZINE. There is a $100 Honorarium for accepted & printed articles.
We are currently looking for Articles, Reviews, and Opinion Pieces of interest to women ecoarts and social justice professionals, students, and the broader public.
PROPOSAL SPECIFICATIONS: Due February 10
1. Paragraph about your article/essay. You may also send us an existing article instead of a paragraph proposal.
2. 3 jpg photos to go with the article.
3. Your biography
4. 5 jpg photos of your own work
ARTICLE SPECIFICATIONS: Due March 30 (If proposal accepted)
1. 2,000 to 3000 words in WEAD format (to be sent out after proposal is reviewed.)
2. 10 or more jpg images to go into your article.
3. For example see: Fall 2011 issue, The Rio Grande & Water Collaboration by Joyce Cutler-Shaw, re preferred length, format and images.
4. Also welcome, proposals for themes for future issues.
SUBMISSION DEADLINES

- February 10: Article proposals are due.
- February 18: Notification of acceptance.
- March 30 deadline (earlier is better): Completed articles with photos are due.
