If you want to work directly with clients to develop a creative high school product, then consider joining our team as a Freelance Literature Senior Editor!
A Senior Editor in 6-12 Literature at Quarasan is responsible for writing, rewriting, and editing literature projects in a deadline-driven team environment. Leading projects, or portions of projects, this Senior Editor will work independently, while collaborating with editorial content managers and clients to develop prototypes and manuscripts for 6-12 literature. This position is an exciting and rewarding role which ensures quality control at all stages of textbook development.
Job Requirements
* Must be located in Chicago and willing to work onsite in our River North office
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in English or secondary school English teaching
* Ability to write original manuscript and evaluate manuscript
* Must demonstrate a working knowledge of educational pedagogy and products in Literature or Reading Language Arts for middle school or secondary students
* At least five years of experience in educational publishing
* At least three years of experience in leading/supervising a team of internal or external resources
* 2+ years of teaching experience is a plus
