Who doesn’t love a good romance? Sometimes there is nothing better than curling up on the couch with a good romance novel. But, we also like those awesome short stories that are easy reads and still leave us feeling satisfied.
Introducing the MVF Eternal Romance Original Fiction Er0tica Contest! Our last Original Fiction contest was such a success that we wasted no time launching another one. Since Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, and our favorite genre is Paranormal Romance, it feels like a match made in heaven…or wherever your characters come from.
Here are the requirements:
-Word Count must be between 5,000 and 10,000 words
-story must contain a proper use of Er0tica
-A paranormal element MUST be present (witches, ghosts, fae, etc)
-story must have a romance theme
-story must be edited for grammar and punctuation
What we DO want:
-short stories with well developed plot in which erotica enhances
-tales of timeless romance
-stories that make us want the characters to fall in love
-stories that are original and have no basis in fan fiction

We have put together a sweet prize package sure to entice all of you to put your pen to paper and write the next great love story. The first prize winner will receive a prize package that includes the following:

A reader vote will begin on February 1st and run through February 13th.
The judges scores will be combined with the results of the reader vote, with the winner being announced on Valentine’s Day!
How to submit your entry:
1.) Save your story in a Word .doc along with the following information in the header: Story Title, Author Name, MVF penname (if you have one) and Twitter handle (if you have one). You can also include a short summary if you like
2.) Email the document to Meesh@myvampfiction.com between January 1st & 31st; she will convert your document into a security protected PDF file and load it onto the site.
3.) That’s all! We will take care of the rest.
Important Dates:
January 3, 2011 – we will begin accepting submissions
January 31, 2011 – submission deadline. All entries must be emailed to Meesh by 11:59pm EST
February 1, 2011 – Entries will be posted, Voting & Judging begins
February 13, 2011 – Voting & Judging deadling. All votes & judges scores must be in by 11:59pm EST
February 14, 2011 – Winner will be announced on MVF at 8pm CST
