Job Description
Women's Wear Daily is looking for a web producer with proven copy editing and editorial skills to cover the night shift for its website, WWD.com. Duties include:
* Writing and editing headlines and deks with emphasis on best SEO practices
* Updating touts on homepage and all landing pages
* Sending email news blasts for breaking news
* Posting tweets as directed
* Posting breaking news articles as needed
* Assisting foreign bureaus with online-posting as needed
Requirements:
* Editorial online experience
* Copy editing
* Writing web headlines and deks
* Ability to juggle many tasks
Candidate must be detail-oriented, able to work under pressure and must be comfortable working in a content management system
Familiarity with fashion industry and/or interest in fashion w/knowledge of designers is a plus. Salary is competitive. Hours typically range from 7 p.m. to around 12:30 a.m. This is a full-time freelance position.
