New Zealand's most widely read magazine is looking for an Editor with the vision, passion and market knowledge to take New Zealand Woman’s Weekly and its associated website to an even higher level.
The magazine is a trusted, iconic title operating in an intensely competitive market. Candidates need business nous as well as a strong empathy with readers of women’s magazines and the stories they enjoy. A print journalism background, including management of journalists, is essential. Other strengths would include:
* An extensive network of celebrity, agent and media contacts
* Proven ability to achieve circulation/readership growth
* The ability to plan and oversee content and design within allocated budgets, meeting deadlines and circulation targets
* A willingness to work alongside advertising staff and clients and take a leading role in presentations to advertising agents
* An eye for finding talented staff
* Multimedia and online experience
* The ability to work at a strategic level in a large media company
