Perkup Restaurant in conjunction with the Women's Department presents:

POETRY NIGHT

THEME: End Sexual Violence - Inform, Enforce, Support

This November 24th 2010, come out and support the Women's Department and Perkup Restaurant as we promote 16 days of activism against gender-based violence as we host POETRY NIGHT LIVE at PERKUP.

Show starts at 7:30 PM - 9:00 PM with hostess Ms. Jackee Burns.

Don't miss this opportunity to not only show your support for the cause, but to join in the activities and win, win, WIN!

Invitation is open to the general public of Belmopan- anyone who wishes to write and recite their poem at this event is welcomed. Poems eligible for submission into competition should be based on the campaign's theme, "End Sexual Violence - Inform, Enforce, Support".

At the end of this campaign in December 2010, all poets, who wish to, will have their poems published in the Belizean Anthology - a book of Belizean Poets 2nd edition.

Interested poets should submit your poems to m.ljenkins@yahoo.com or wdocayo@humandev.gov.bz by 22 November 2010. Cash Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners of this Poetry Competition. This year's poetry theme to be recognized in eligible poems is "End Sexual Violence - Inform, Enforce, Support!"
