November 25th was the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and it was the first day the 16 Days campaign which aims to eliminate gender-based violence.

We at Oxfam Canada are also involved in this global campaign, and the BC/Yukon region is collaborating and participating in this campaign.

We would like to hear from you and have the privilege of learning about your ideas and experiences and share it with others. For the duration of this campaign, we want you to send us an electronic postcard and give us your thoughts on gender-based violence.

Your submissions may include but are not limited to the following:

* E-cards with inspirational quotes and/or images representing the issue of gender-based violence
* Short poems
* Dedications to a person you know who has experienced violence
* Thoughts and feelings
* Your own experience(s)
* Something you think others need to know about this issue
* How you would like men to support women
* What you are doing or have done in support of survivors of violence
* Theme-appropriate photographs
* Short Youtube video

Entries can be local, national, or international in scope/focus

All submissions must be respectful. We reserve the right to select submissions and they will only be excluded if they are in any way racist, sexist, homophobic, or categorized under any other oppressive “-ism”.
