October Writing Contest: “At Mama’s Kitchen Table”

Do you have a story or a memory about your mother’s kitchen table? I am hosting a writing contest during the month of October for the best essay with the theme “At Mama’s Kitchen Table.” Each essay submitted will be posted under the “Read the Essays” link for all visitors to view! On November 1st, I’ll open up voting to everyone who visits my website to vote for their favorite essay. The two writers who receive the most votes will receive, as a prize, a terrific book about cooking, family, and kitchens. Look below for information about the books!

Contest Rules

1. A maximum of 500 words
2. Only one submission per person
3. Use our online form to Submit Your Essay. Be sure and include your name, email, and mailing address on your entry (these are for notifying you and awarding the prize; names will be included unless you wish to remain anonymous; email and mailing address will not be published).
4. Deadline for entry is October 31, 2010, at midnight.
