Tionna Smalls (of Vh1’s What Chilli Wants) presents The “Brooklyn Girl Dreaming” Essay Contest. Tionna Smalls, who was born and raised in the East New York section of Brooklyn, N.Y., is giving back to her community by having an essay contest for young girls from Brooklyn, New York.
Are you a girl who resides in Brooklyn, New York who has a big dream you hope to accomplish? What is your dream? How do you plan to accomplish this dream? What are some of the challenges you are facing that may affect you accomplishing your dream? She is currently looking for essays which are insightful, honest, and heartfelt.
The grand prize for the winners is $100 plus a trophy. The two age categories are 10-13years old and 14-16 years old. Requirements: 1-3 page, handwritten essay with blue or black ink, written soley by the contest participant. Must be a female, Brooklyn resident, between the age of 10-16 years old to enter by 10/1/10.Entries that are typed will not be considered. Entries are closed at 10/1/10 at 12:00AM. Entering this contest gives Tionna Smalls and Talk Dat Ish Entertainment the permission to publish essay online for publicity uses only.
