The Nineteenth Annual “Men and Masculinity Conference” of the American Men’s Studies Association will take place March 31-April 3, 2011 at the University of Missouri – Kansas City. The conference, returning to the venue in which it held its 2007 meeting, is co-sponsored by the Women’s Center and Women’s and Gender Studies Program of the University of Missouri – Kansas City. This year’s theme is “Men, Masculinities and the Common Good in an Era of Economic Uncertainty.”
Pre-conference workshops will take place Thursday, March 31, 5-8 pm. Conference Sessions will take place Friday and Saturday, April 1 and 2 from 8 am to 5 pm, and Sunday, April 2, from 8 am to 1 pm. The conference banquet will be Friday evening at the Conference Hotel.
Call For Papers: Paper and presentation proposals are to be submitted online only and are due October 31, 2010.
