Gumbo for the Soul: Women of Honor II

Coming March 2013 Women's History Month

Call for Submissions:

We are paying tribute once again to the quiet soldiers who have paved the way fighting along their journey battling cancer (not just breast cancer this time - all cancers affecting women) while recognizing women who have made a difference in all aspects, serving their family and community. It is time once again to honor those women who persevered and pressed, leaving their mark in the harsh and triumphant history of our heritage.

This is a call to honor the torch bearers of our future. Young women impacting their college and community are especially sought. We are reaching out to women at earlier age groups to spread awareness about breast exams, abstinence and safe sex, PAP annual screening information, and much more. The attitude is SASSY. Not just any attitude, for SASSY in our terms means, Save A Sistah Sincerely Yours - our mantra! We have an attitude of sisterhood and unity that we will be spreading around the world. We are our sister's keeper of a sisterhood long overdue for an overhaul. Women, let's unite and make this an international call to take care of us, all of us, regardless of race, religion or region. Do you know a woman of honor? I certainly do.

The special compilation features 12 generous supporters referred to as core/co-contributors: Gail D. Bishop, Yvonne Singleton Davis, Beverly Black Johnson, and Serena Wills.
