Associate Health Editor Wanted for Major Women's Magazine (NY)

One major women’s magazine is now looking for an associate health editor to join its talented team. The ideal candidate should be a creative, deadline-driven, self-starter (as well as a strong multi-tasker) who’s got a great passion for health. Interns and new grads need not apply. Applicants should have at least 2 years of professional editorial experience working in the health department of a major magazine. This position, which will involve assisting the magazine’s current health editors, will involve:

— concepting and writing the monthly health news page
— processing health writer contracts/invoices/sending issues/ filing paperwork
— editing the monthly Health QA column
— editing FOB health/fitness stories
— researching and writing factoids and small sidebars
— attending health press events
— blogging for the magazine’s website
