Each Editor will interact with the editorial staff on a daily basis and will attend weekly meetings involving the site development.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Write original content for websites and edit existing written content
- Create newsletters based on Web site content and performance.
- Engage in social networking strategies to build website traffic and brand identity online, including Facebook, Twitter, Digg, etc.
- Employ various traffic-building techniques like link exchanges and Search Engine Optimization strategies
- Participate in weekly meetings regarding the progress of site development and ideas for expansion and improvement
- Potential to work on multiple web properties managed by company
REQUIREMENTS:
- An ideal candidate will have an enthusiasm for web publishing and for learning about online marketing. S/he will also have a strong background and familiarity with social networking and the latest online trends.
- Candidate must have a meticulous eye for detail, correct spelling and grammar in all work functions
- Excellent communication skills, self-starting personality and innovative thinker
- Positive, goal-oriented team player
- Familiarity with HTML and open source Content Management System is a plus, but not required
