REPORTS TO: Regional Manager – International Content
SUMMARY
Allrecipes.co.uk is seeking a bright, creative, detail-oriented, technical writer with a passion for food and in-depth knowledge of UK and/or Irish food and culture. Responsibilities include editing community submitted and professional recipes for a general audience, writing how-to food articles, and scheduling featured content. Necessary skills also include outstanding analytical and organizational skills, the ability to learn quickly, and the ability to work well under tight deadlines.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Apply food knowledge, knowledge of regional cuisines, and a passion for food to develop and grow content on Allrecipes.co.uk.
- Publish recipe content – localizing ingredients, measurements, and directions - as directed by site’s assigned Editorial Producer.
- Localize and/or create and publish how-to food articles
- Support sales and marketing initiatives
- Schedule featured content on site
- Contribute content to newsletters
- Customer Service
- Site specific QA for product releases
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Must have 5 years experiential knowledge of UK or Irish lifestyle, cuisine, and cooking terms
- Must be knowledgeable and excited about cooking
- Excellent English grammar skills, writing and editing techniques, native fluency
- Proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook. Experience using Internet for research
- Lawfully permitted to work in the U.S.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- BA in Communications, Culinary or related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in writing, editing or food-related position
