A call for submissions of stories, essays, memoirs and poems for Around the Kitchen Table: An Anthology (Sunshine in a Jar Press) to be released in Fall 2012. Write about food, people and tradition. Go where the theme leads you. What makes a kitchen distinct? How many secrets does the kitchen hold? Why do some consider the kitchen to be the centre of our homes? We are looking for pieces about love, loss, joy, decadence, deprivation, hope, fear, friendship, family, social responsibility, health and culture. This anthology hopes to capture the spirit of kitchens in Ontario.
