Submissions from Women Writers Wanted: Memo Online/ Print Journal

Post date: 21 April 2011
Deadline: 27 April 2011

Memo, an online/ offline editorial production and community is calling all women artists, creatives, poets, writers, essayists, filmmakers, songwriters, and visionaries. Each month we make space for you to share your talent and work with each other, to inspire, empower and connect. (And show off your stuff a little too!). MEMO is dedicated to a new generation of women who are style and design conscious, civic and community-minded, environmentally-aligned and looking for signs of an intelligent and creative life around them. We're launching this May 2011. Please submit one story idea per online form. Follow the CONTRIBUTE guidelines on our website: www.thebmlproject.com. May's theme is "FIRST DRAFTS" the idea of our life and our work as a first draft, it's initial genius and seed stage. Apply this term and theme to the world around you and see what comes.

We still have room for submissions. Deadline is April 27th. Our June issue's theme will be IDENTITY, exploring the different roles and ways we shape, hide, and empower our identities as women, in design, art, culture, as a society, and community. Become an early MEMO supporter and we will invite you to our monthly gatherings, where you will meet like-minded creatives and artists, the writers, contributors and subjects of our stories. We are also looking for regular contributing artists, photographers, poets, writers, essayists for our fashion, art, film, music, culture, kid culture, beauty, travel, food, and city-life (NY, London, Paris, LA, Tokyo).

Payment is commensurate with experience.
