Grant Writer Wanted for Lotus Light Arts (women's non-profit/ LA)

Post date: 11 April 2011
Lotus Light Arts is a non-profit outreach program that brings the healing practices of yoga and art to at-risk young women in Los Angeles who are struggling with homelessness, poverty, abuse, addiction, trauma & behavioral challenges.

We are only in our first year of fundraising and promotion in order to raise enough funds to get going in facilities that have committed to our services for a full 18 week term. We need experienced grant writers who are looking to donate their time to support a worthy cause that they feel as passionate about as we do. In return, you will be able to list your time with us on your resume and it could open a lot of doors for you. We are hoping to have someone on board that we can possibly keep on long-term and pay what they are worth. We already have drafts of LOI's, Need Statement, Budget, and various other pieces that need your expert revision.

This person's duties will include:

*Collaborating with the Executive Director about prospective grant opportunities and finalizing LOI's and Grant Proposals
*Learning about and fully understanding our program, it's mission, goals and objectives
*2-4 hours per week researching appropriate grant and funding opportunities (at your own home is fine)
*Writing and revising LOI's and grant proposals as they are needed

Please visit lotuslightarts.org for more information and to see if this is something that you would be willing to dedicate your time to.

With deep gratitude and appreciation, we look forward to hearing from you.

Location: Los Angeles

Compensation: Determined by success of grant proposals.
