That Which Needs to be Remembered: Workshop for women veterans and women serving in the armed services. This three-hour creative writing workshop offers women veterans and women members of the armed services a venue to re-create in a communal space their service-related experiences.

Participants will share their journey as honored members of the country's armed services; they will read poems written by poets who have documented their experiences as service men and women throughout peaceful and war-ridden times. Charlene Monahan Spearen holds an MFA degree in creative writing and a Ph.D. in rhetoric and composition. April 30, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Registration required. $25 C4W members; $35 non.

The Center for Women, 129 Cannon St., sponsors this program. To register, go to www.c4women.org or call 763-7333.
