It's WEEK 47 of Bakersfield's own imaginirium! The Random Writers Workshop (RWW) continues to inspire creative writers and fuel aspiring authors with literary knowledge and wisdom.
RWW is held weekly at Russo's Books in Bakersfield, Calif. and is headed up by Nick Belardes. He's a journalist, illustrat...or of New York Times Best Selling Novel West of Here (2011), author of Random Obsessions (2009), Lords: Part One (2005), the first Twitter Lit ever Small Places (2010), and former creative writer for the Las Vegas Fremont Street Experience.
Lectures and discussions have covered creative writing tips on getting published, as well as how to organize a novel, how to write narrative, how to get proper focus for chapters, how to write dialogue, setting, character development, flash fiction, point of view, query letters and more. RWW was an exclusive partner of Literary Kern 2010 put on by the Kern County Library.
