When someone says to you ‘angel’ do you imagine a blonde haired white frocked feminine creature sat on a cloud playing a harp, or a tiny winged, chubby child? If the answer is yes you’re in the wrong place.
However if you see a creature of awesome power sent as a warrior to fight mighty battles with huge wings, fiery swords, and a kick ass attitude then welcome. We are looking for stories of winged warriors fighting battles on huge scale or one on one. There is no limit to setting or time period the only limitation is make it original and fun.
What we want:
We are looking for short fiction horror stories between 2,000 and 7,000 words pertaining to the ‘Warriors with Wings’ theme of the book. Any plot that fits the themed of angels is acceptable except for sexual content including but not limited to rape, bestiality, and sexual torture of any kind. Please keep the use of vulgar adjectives to a limit and only where required to drive the narrative.
What rights do we want?
First publishing rights, (we will review pre published stories on an individual basis but stories that have not been previously printed will get first place) the right to use the story for as long as there is demand for the book, the right to edit each story for any missed grammatical errors, and the right to use parts of the book and the author's name for promotion. You will keep all other rights and can republish the story anytime you choose.
What you get:
Authors who submit stories between 4,000 and 7,000 words will receive a copy of the book as payment. Those submitting between 2,000 and 3,999 will be doing for exposure only.
How your stories should be sent:
All entries MUST be a .doc file. Emails with submissions sent in any other format will be replied with a request to convert the file into a .doc format. Title, Author's Name, Word Count, and Author's Email MUST be on the first page of the document. The stories should be edited to the best of your ability but they will be looked over for any missed grammatical errors. The story should be single-spaced.

When to send it by:
Deadline for submission is Friday 8th July, 2011 or until full. We will take all entries and choose the best of the bunch for publication!
Submissions are open to EVERYONE so take this opportunity to try for the first time or write for the hundredth time!!
