The Style Network is looking for an Associate Editor to contribute to its Mystyle.com site.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Research and write daily beauty, fashion and lifestyle news and opinion pieces
• Conceive, create and maintain engaging photo galleries
• Cover select events and stay abreast of news, trends, celebrities and emerging designers
• Conduct interviews with pop-culture figures and industry professionals
• Nurture contacts and sources to break news
• Oversee online components of on-air initiatives
• Coordinate content flow between marketing, show producers and website
• Facilitate talent participation in mystyle.com
• Harness social media and emerging platforms to increase brand awareness
• Actively contribute to innovation, evolution and growth of the site
• Collaborate with editors and external departments to shape compelling content
• Recruit and mentor interns
• Complete additional projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• College degree in journalism or English desired
• Impeccable attention to grammar, punctuation and house style
• Minimum one year previous reporting/interviewing experience
• Passion for fashion, beauty and lifestyle categories
• Knowledge of pop culture and digital media
• Demonstrated communication skills and a level of professionalism commensurate with title
• Talent for writing and grasp of mystyle voice
• High degree of organization
• Ability to advance a variety of projects simultaneously
