Freelance Editors Wanted

Noble Romance Publishing is now hiring freelance content and copy editors. We have several positions available. Serious inquiries from experienced professionals only, please.

Suitable candidates for these freelance positions will have knowledge and experience in the following:

1. Spotting and fixing dangling modifiers.
2. Spotting and fixing impossible simultaneous action.
3. Knowledge of proper use and punctuation of dialogue and action tags.
4. Spotting and recommending fixes for plot holes and other possible "story" issues.
5. Proper use of commas, semi-colons and other punctuation.
6. Spotting and recommending fixes for issues with POV, "telling," and passive writing.
7. Other "Editing 101" items such as redundancy, overuse of words, vague (it) sentences, unclear meaning, consistency in characters (names, hair color, etc) and places, spotting incorrect words, etc.
8. Ability to follow a style guide and work with the publisher's preferences.

Again, these are freelance positions. Suitable candidates will have a professional manner, knowledge of MS Word and Word's Track Changes feature, good communication skills, and be available to do full edits on one novel-length manuscript per week.
