We're a small company writing and publishing a new series of books that highlights one vegetable (or fruit ... or herb ...) and follows it from seed to table. The books will cover the history, mystery, health benefits and "how-to" of that one specific piece of produce with a fun section at the end full of RECIPES ... and that's where YOU come in!
We're looking for someone who truly has a passion for fresh food, and who has the time and the interest to create unique recipes for our RECIPES section. We're looking for 5-8 recipes per book (per vegetable) that reflect a diverse and eclectic selection honoring and focusing on that one uniqe piece of produce. For example, one vegetarian recipe, one vegan recipe, one simple raw food recipe, one traditional recipe, one recipe that adults could do with kids, and one recipe from the vegetable's country of origin. Our office is technically located on the east bay, but we're flexible to anywhere in the bay area as long as you're willing to travel a bit to meet in person at least once or twice. We're working on the first 6 books in the series now, but if the relationship works out we have many, many, many books in the works!
