Part-time Senior Research Editor

The Senior Research Editor will work with the Division of Standards and Practice (DOSP) Documents and Standards Section in collaboration with the Director and staff of the Department of Professional Practice and Health Policy to respond to the increasing demand for official ACNM position statements, clinical bulletins and member resources, reviews and critical analyses of research reports and/or publications. In addition to these specific tasks, the individual in this role will develop the infrastructure support and procedures for the process of maintaining, editing and publishing ACNM official documents in collaboration with current systems in the national office, and will assist in the development of a resource panel of experts that can be sustained within the Clinical Documents and Standards Section of the DOSP. The position includes a transition to a focused copy editor and support services position in year two following the initial year of development. Part-time Writer and Editor

The American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM) is seeking a part-time (30 hours per week) writer and editor to join our communications department. The writer and editor is responsible for producing the organization’s quarterly newsletter, other publications, and web content, and assisting with some of the organization’s marketing programs. The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of one year of related experience. Knowledge of health care and/or women’s health a plus. Ability to use or quickly learn computer design applications, content management systems, and databases preferred. This is an excellent opportunity to grow as a writer and editor and gain exposure to the inner workings of a nonprofit communications team. View the full job description here [pdf].
