Job Opening: Entertainment Editor for Flare Magazine (Canada)

Flare is looking for a creative individual for a unique position on our editorial staff. This is a 1 year contract position taking over for a maternity leave.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* This editor will be responsible for working with our senior team on our arts, entertainment and culture coverage.
* This position also involves attending cultural events on Flare's behalf and cover negotiations.
* You must love pop culture and entertainment and have excellent contacts within these industries.

Qualifications

* The successful candidate will have a university degree in journalism, mass media, English, or liberal arts
* 3 - 5 years editorial experience in the arts, entertainment and culture.
* Applicants without this experience will not be considered.
* You must be a good writer with strong editorial, excellent communication and organization skills.
