Job Description: Disney FamilyFun Editorial Assistant

The editorial assistant supports the FamilyFun editorial staff, in particular the editor, executive editor, and managing editor. Responsibilities include: assist with correspondence, phone calls, scheduling, shipping packages, and other administrative work; organize lineups and synopses; evaluate and respond to unsolicited queries; act as a backup factchecker as needed; pitch, write, and research pieces for the magazine; support the products editor with product evaluation and testing; coordinate editorial contests; be part of the edit team, including attending various meetings and working on special projects. We are looking for a candidate who is very organized and detail-oriented and has strong communication skills.

Requirements: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field and/or relevant work experience. Previous magazine experience and familiarity with InDesign a plus.
