Job Opening: Assistant Editor for Little Fox (New Jersey)

Little Fox, established in February 2000, is an award-winning, rapidly expanding online publishing company. We specialize in the production of multimedia stories, folk songs, and games for children around the world to learn English in a friendly and interesting environment. Little Fox’s subscription-based Internet site has become a leading provider of English education in Korea, and an American version of the site is in progress. The web site continues to expand, with new materials added daily. As of September 2010, the company has published nearly 2,000 stories, 260 folk songs, and 200 games.

Requirements:

This position involves developing, editing, and proofreading materials that are offered online and in printed form to children learning English as a second language. Original writing of children's stories at a variety of levels (beginner, intermediate, and advanced) is also required. The editor must work on-site in our Princeton, New Jersey, office (no telecommuting) and have some editorial experience, along with a strong interest in children's literature. This is not an entry-level position. Full-time or approximately 30 hours weekly.

Qualifications:

-minimum bachelor’s degree in English or related field
-experience in children's publishing
-strong writing ability
-attention to detail
-organizational skills to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines
-computer proficiency (MS Word, Internet searching, Google documents)
--education background helpful but not required
