AskMissA.com is a national lifestyle e-magazine that provides heartfelt — rather than commercial — content for women’s well-rounded lifestyle interests — political and social issues; art and cultural events; charity galas and volunteer opportunities with nonprofits; women’s organizations and networking events; art and literature; design and entertaining; local fashion and beauty.

AskMissA.com tosses aside the superficial and shallow to deliver sensibility and substance with style. Through authentic, informative, and witty editorial voices of women-in-the-know across the United States, AskMissA.com informs, inspires, and entertains an audience of over 650,000 unique visitors annually. AskMissA.com continues to grow organically by building a powerful online network of women. AskMissA.com's founder, Andrea Rodgers has been featured in Vogue, Allure and W magazines, and the blog has been featured on FoxNews, CNN, Washington Post, USA Today and other media outlets.

We are excited to be expanding our reach, and are looking for women in-the-know to cover cultural and charity events, and highlight San Francisco neighborhoods -- where to shop, where to eat, what salons are a great value, best spas, how to get involved in the community and volunteer, and basically give readers a unique personal perspective on San Francisco. This is great exposure and a wonderful resume builder with the opportunity to get your writing out there nationally. Often you will receive complimentary tickets to cover events, and other perks. If you currently have a blog, you will be able to link to your website to drive traffic. This is a great opportunity to showcase charities you are involved with, and your favorite spots in the city.

We are looking for writers to cover one or more of the following topics:

  • Around the City - neighborhoods, day trips
  • Art and Culture - museums, symphony, opera, international cultures
  • Boutiques and Local Fashion - local fashion shows, local designers, local boutiques --- not chains
  • Charity - how to volunteer, great places to volunteer, charity events and walks etc.
  • Festivals, Sports and Concerts - big live music concerts, street festivals, sporting events or watching
  • Home and Design - home tours, decorator houses, interior decorators in the area, home furnishing boutiques
  • Moms and Family - things to do with the kids, things for new moms, etc.
  • Networking - Women's Groups, Young Professional Groups and their events
  • Restaurants and Nightlife - restaurant reviews, best brunch spots, etc.
  • Salon, Spa and Local Beauty - hair, makeup, nails, etc.
  • Networking - events, women and professional's organizations and clubs
