Cooking Light has an opening for an assistant editor. This is a terrific opportunity for the right candidate: Cooking Light is the country’s leading epicurean magazine devoted to healthy and delicious cooking, and covers nutrition and healthy-lifestyle subjects as well.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years editorial experience at a magazine, newspaper, or major mainstream website. We’re looking for an editor with experience in health, science or nutrition reporting who also has a genuine interest in, and love of, food. Strong communication, writing, and editorial skills are crucial.
Specific responsibilities:
Assist the Executive Editor in writing, assigning, packaging stories for Nutrition Made Easy section and the Healthy Living section (whose subjects include food, healthy, beauty, fitness, home).
Assist in production of major editorial franchises—award programs, annual special sections, etc.
