We are a national fashion publication, focusing on the West Coast looking for an intern as a guest editor. You will learn copy editing, fact checking, and research skills, along with writing fashion stories for the magazine. As the guest editor, you are involved in every aspect of producing a print magazine, digital publication website and blog . This is a great hands-on experience at a print magazine! You will develop skills in researching, writing and editing. Must be a college student, prefer a journal writer or communications major, excellent creative writing skills, interested in fashion, a quick thinker and can work independently. This candidate will pitch, ideas/ stories to the team and then write for our magazine, blog or website. Must be able to commit to 10-15 hours per week
Please send a resume and 2 writing samples fashion based along with a cover letter explaining your interest in magazine editing. This is an excellent opportunity to work at the ground level and work your way up. Can lead to a pt/ft position as an editor with our magazine in 6 months.
