We accept only one manuscript at a time per author.
While we do accept simultaneous submissions, we require knowledge of this intent.
Decadent does not accept submissions that contain illegal sexual acts, bestiality (including un-shifted/shifted shapeshifter combinations), incest, pedophilia, glorified racial intolerance, necrophilia, or graphic rape for purposes of titillation (if it is an integral part of the story and not posed in a positive light it may be considered).
Romance submissions can be sweet to smoking hot. Sexual or sensual scenes should enhance, not be, the story.
Send an email to submissions@decadentpublishing.com with an attached doc or rtf file free of viruses, malware, etc.
Attach a brief cover email that includes genre, length of story, a short blurb and any previous publication credits. If you’re unpublished, let us know. We encourage the development of new talent! If you have already been published with us, skip the synopsis and sample chapters - we want to see your full manuscript.
Along with the above, we need a detailed synopsis (2 to 4 pages describing the setting and main characters, conflict, full plot and resolution), the first three chapters and the final chapter of your manuscript. If it is a short story, send the full manuscript in Times New Roman font and double-spaced.
